Loose Loads or Bulk Bags? Which 1 is Best?

Often times people are torn between taking a full loose load or some bulk bags, typically we usually tell people to start off with a couple of Bulk bags, this way you are not going to overwhelm yourself with logs to store and it is a nice volume to see how much you start using.

Usually, we recommend that if you are lighting up your fire 1 or 2 nights per week (weekend burners) then 2 or 3 Bulk bags will normally last you several months if on the other hand, you are getting a burn going 4 or 5 night per week and up then without doubt long-term the loose load is the way to go.

Our Bulk bags are approx 0.73 m3 and are always generously filled to the brim

Proud Suppliers Of British Hardwood

We are proud to only supply Local British Hardwood species, we have considered importing from Eastern Europe a few times over the last 10 years, especially when the costs in the local market are constantly rising due to supply and demand, however, carting timber from all over Europe goes completely against all of the environmental benefits associated with renewable fuel, not to mention the stories we hear about unlicensed clear felling that goes on in certain countries.

British Hardwood is Rustic and Filled With Character

Hardwood imported from Europe is generally aesthetically pleasing, probably due to the much more relaxed felling regulations, here in the UK we are only allowed to fell trees that comes from managed woodlands, usually areas that have not been thinned for decades and decades. Because of these reasons, British Logs are usually more varied, some are small some are larger, some have thick old bark on them and some are cracked and from a visually very old tree, we believe this is nice, it adds character and mystique that you just do not get with the imported product. our customers appreciate this and many enjoy the fact that our drivers can tell them exactly what towns and what woods the timber they are burning has come from.
